Kansas City, MO - Jan. 14, 2025 - Apex Engineers, Inc. announces the promotion of seven employees to key leadership positions including Jason Gibson, Logan Chamberlin and Matthew Umberger as Associate Principals, and Bethany Hahn, Dustin Stallings, Jeffrey Bloss and Linda Estrella as Associates.
"These promotions are a testament to Apex Engineers' continued growth and commitment to excellence," said Principal & CEO, Bryce Crady. "By recognizing and elevating the leadership potential of these individuals, we are ensuring the long-term success and vision of our firm, while fostering an environment that empowers innovation and excellence at every level."
Jason Gibson, PE, now an Associate Principal, manages single-family and multifamily residential projects from our Kansas City office. Having been at Apex for over 18 years, Gibson is excellent at building and maintaining relationships with homebuilders, architects and homeowners. His recent work includes numerous custom homes and estates, multiple homes in both the Franklin Heights and Plaza Heights neighborhoods of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as shipping containers repurposed as container homes designed in jurisdictions throughout the U.S.
Logan Chamberlin, PE transitions into the role of Associate Principal. He manages commercial projects from our Kansas City office and enjoys mentoring less experienced engineers. Chamberlin, who has been with the firm for 14 years, will continue to expand his role in business development for the firm while leading successful project teams.
Matthew Umberger, SE, PE becomes an Associate Principal. While managing design projects, he also leads the Apex research and development team remotely from his home in Pagosa Springs, CO. In his new role, Umberger will continue to focus on advancing the research and development team, developing cutting-edge systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and deliver better outcomes for clients.
Bethany Hahn has been promoted to Associate. Not only is Hahn one of the first women to reach a leadership role of this level, but also the first non-engineer to move into the Associate role. Hahn has been with Apex for over 13 years, and as Chief Operating Officer, she has led numerous initiatives, including overhauling the timekeeping and accounting systems, facilitating the expansion of multiple branches across different states, and developing HR standards and the employee handbook. Additionally, she was named to Building Design + Construction's 2024 40 Under 40 list this past November.
"These are exciting times for Apex," said Founding Principal Clayton Hess. "For the first time in our firm's history, we are proud to have two women on the track to ownership - both more than deserving of their new roles."
Dustin Stallings, PE, has been named an Associate. He has been with Apex for ten years and manages residential projects at our Denver office. Stallings strives to find the most cost-effective way to build structures while achieving the vision of homeowners and architects. His portfolio includes high-end custom residences, such as this modern luxury home, residential remodels and foundation investigations.
Jeffrey Bloss, SE, PE, has been promoted to Associate. A member of the R&D team, Bloss balances his time between contributing to R&D initiatives and performing design work as a structural engineer. Beyond his contributions at Apex, he is also an active member of the Structural Engineers Association of Kansas and Missouri's Young Members Group.
Linda Estrella, PE transitions into the role of Associate. As part of the R&D team, she is responsible for the implementation and company adoption of the R&D team's products. She is passionate about AI, technology and engineering and looks forward to continuing to bridge the gaps between the three in order to move the field forward in the future.
"The promotion of three R&D team members demonstrates our commitment to innovation and reflects the incredible work they're doing to create tools and resources that empower our engineers to design quicker, more effective structural solutions," said Principal Jared Lambrecht.
