At Apex Engineers, we're always looking for ways to improve the way we design buildings. Over the past several years, that commitment has grown into an internal Research & Development program focused on creating custom tools that help our engineers work more efficiently, improve quality, and spend more time solving engineering problems.
What started with two structural engineers teaching themselves to code has grown into a dedicated R&D team of structural engineers, a design technician, and a software quality assurance engineer. Together, they've built, and continue to expand, a suite of custom tools designed specifically for the way we practice structural engineering.
In the video below, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the tools we've built and how they're changing the way we deliver projects. From our custom Project Management App and Revit Plugin to our Apex Wiki and Member Designer, each solution was created to solve real challenges our engineers encounter every day.
The video also includes a live demonstration of Member Designer, our custom structural design application built directly into Revit. You'll see how it automatically responds to design changes, performs real-time code checks, and helps our engineers evaluate every framing member within the model - all without leaving Revit.
Watch the video below to learn more about our R&D team and the tools they're building to support better structural engineering.
