12-story parking garage, 765 spaces. Built in the early 1970s, this parking structure was showing significant signs of age and deterioration. Our team conducted an initial assessment to identify and prioritize necessary repairs. After securing HOA approval and funding, we conducted a detailed assessment, identifying specific areas requiring attention. We then developed comprehensive plans outlining repair locations, details, and specifications to address each deficiency effectively.

Oskaloosa High School Football Stadium Light Poles
Structural investigation of leaning stadium light poles. Apex worked with the Oskaloosa High School football program to investigate their leaning stadium light poles. By asking the school to observe wind speed restrictions on game days, we managed to ensure the players could safely finish out their season before the poles would eventually need to be re-set in the ground.

Apartment Complex Stair Decay
Structural investigation of exterior stair structures at apartment complex. Apex Engineers investigated the deterioration of the wood-framed exterior stair structures at this large apartment complex. The wood surfaces had become "fuzzy" due to the absorption of deicing salts used on the parking lots and walkways. Our engineer determined the underlying cause of the issue and implemented targeted solutions to restore the structural integrity of the staircases.

Gambino's Pizza Vehicle Strike
Restaurant struck by vehicle. Our engineers were called upon to evaluate the extent of the damage caused by a vehicle collision. We conducted an initial assessment to address stability concerns and determine if temporary shoring was necessary for safe entry. Once the structure was deemed safe, we thoroughly evaluated the primary and secondary structural elements. Based on our findings, we developed a comprehensive repair plan to address all identified issues.
