

FIELD PROJECT ENGINEER
The Details
In this position, you get the best of both worlds. Field engineers spend on average half of their time in the field evaluating existing structures/site conditions and the other half of their time in the office designing solutions to fit field conditions. Typical projects assigned to a field engineer include: RTU replacements, solar additions, tile roof additions/replacements, removal of bearing walls, renovations of existing structures, deck designs, and more. Field engineers also participate on the residential and special inspections teams covering overflow of third party and SI as needed.
Qualifications:

Experience with structural analysis and design software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Demonstrated leadership skills

Construction experience, especially in framing, is very beneficial

The Basics
Experience: 2+ years in structural design
Education: Bachelor's in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
Certification: EIT or PE in any state
