Terry Barton,
Principal, Licensed Geologist and
Professional Engineer
Terry is a licensed geologist and
professional engineer. He graduated from
Fort Hays State University with both a
master's and bachelor's degree in geology.
He also earned a bachelor's degree in civil
engineering from the University of Kansas.
Terry is a member of the American Concrete
Institute. Prior to beginning his
engineering career, he was the lead singer
in the rock band Submytion.
Bryce Crady,
Principal and Professional Engineer
Bryce is a professional engineer
licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, and
Nebraska. Bryce is a structural engineer
specializing in house plan review. He earned
a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
from the University of Kansas. Bryce worked
in residential and commercial construction
for six years before becoming an engineer.
He is a member of the American Concrete
Institute, Structural Engineering Institute,
American Institute of Steel Construction,
National Society of Professional Engineers,
and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Clayton Hess,
Principal and Professional Engineer
Clayton is a professional engineer
with licenses in Kansas and Missouri. A
graduate of the University of Kansas, Hess
earned a bachelor's degree in civil
engineering. With nearly nine years
experience as an engineer, he has worked on
many major residential construction projects
across the metro area. He is a member of the
American Concrete Institute and serves on
the Lambda Chi Alpha corporation board.
Dennis Heier,
Professional Engineer
Dennis is a professional engineer
licensed in Kansas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in
civil engineering from the University of
Kansas. He specializes in house plan
structural design and review and maintains
the daily training of new hires and interns.
Dennis is fluent in Spanish as well as
English.
Mike Brunin,
Engineer-In-Training
Mike is a graduate of the University of
Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in
architectural engineering. He joined Apex
Engineers as a full-time associate in May of
2005. His previous engineering and
construction experience involves a summer
internship as a residential framer, two
summers as a commercial laborer, and an
engineering internship at Apex.
Jason Gibson,
Engineer-in-Training
Jason is a graduate of the University of
Kansas with a bachelor's degree in civil
engineering. After an internship with Apex
beginning in the summer of 2007, Jason
started as a full-time employee in June of
2008.
Charlie Woods,
Engineer-in-Training
Charlie joined Apex in the summer of 2006 as
an intern. He recently received his
bachelor's degree in civil engineering at
the University of Kansas. He remains a
part-time employee for Apex, and is back at KU
working on his master's.
Chris Toy,
Field Technician
Chris earned a bachelor's degree from
the University of Kansas and has extensive
experience in the residential construction
industry. Chris is a certified ACI Concrete
Field Testing Technician Level 1. Prior to
joining Apex, Chris was a branch manager for
the Fastenal store in Ottawa, Kan. With his
on-site experience and knowledge of the
construction industry, Chris is a valuable
member of Apex Engineers' inspection team.
Stephanie Laub, Office
Manager
As office manager, Stephanie oversees all
administrative duties and works to keep Apex
Engineers running efficiently. She is
responsible for project assignment, keeping
track of project completion and delivery,
and accounting. Stephanie has a bachelor’s
degree in marketing from Missouri State
University.
Carol Cintra, Office
Manager
As office manager, Carol oversees all
administrative duties and works to keep Apex
Engineers running efficiently. She is
responsible for project assignment, keeping
track of project completion and delivery,
and accounting. Carol brings ten years of
office experience to Apex.
