As featured in KC Home Design
Architect:
Bickford & Company
Builder: Riffe
Homes
Engineer: Apex
Engineers, Inc.
Location: Lee's Summit, MO

As featured in KC Home Design magazine, much of the
lumber used to construct this Lee’s Summit home was rough
timber from a forest fire. In addition, the home features an especially
open design as well as a floating staircase. Due to the many unique
features, nearly every aspect of the house required special structural
design. For example, Apex designed a two-channel configuration
with 1-inch diameter bolts and washers to support the floating
staircase – every piece of steel for this staircase had
to be specially fabricated!
